Before: Among 5 users, 4 expressed frustration with complex music settings, particularly in profile editing. They found it cumbersome to navigate and were annoyed by the need to scroll excessively to access save and cancel buttons.
After: Following enhancements, all 5 users reported a smoother profile editing experience. The interface was simplified, eliminating the need for excessive scrolling. Users appreciated the ease and efficiency of the new design.
Before: Among 5 users, 4 expressed frustration with the app’s navigation system. They found it confusing and cumbersome, often struggling to locate specific features or sections. Users reported difficulty in finding their way around the app, leading to a sense of inefficiency and frustration in their user experience
After: Following improvements, all 5 users reported a significant improvement in the navigation experience. The simplified navigation system addressed their previous frustrations, making it easier to find and access desired features. Users appreciated the enhanced usability, leading to a more efficient and enjoyable interaction with the app.
In doing this case study, I learned that simplicity and clear design are crucial. Users need easy ways to explore music without internet. Making the app intuitive and user-friendly is key. This project taught me that focusing on users and making things easy for them is vital for a great music app experience
After completing the UI/UX design, prototyping, testing, and development collaboration for the no WiFi music player, the next steps for my portfolio would involve beta testing for user feedback, optimizing performance, ensuring robust security measures, devising a marketing strategy, crafting user documentation, and planning continuous updates for improvement.
